Founded in 1973, the Northeast Document Conservation Center is the first conservation center in the U.S. to specialize in the preservation and conservation of paper-based materials for museums, libraries, archives, and other cultural organizations, as well as private collections. NEDCC provides book and paper conservation treatment, Asian art conservation, digitization of books, paper, and film-based materials, audio preservation for historical grooved media, assessments, educational programs, and disaster assistance.
