Description
Roxbury Museum consists of two small buildings in the historic district of Roxbury. The Hall of Records is a 1933 building with a vault that was donated and built to store town documents after a fire at the town clerks home where they were stored. The RMBurnhardt Meat Market (1921) operated until the 1970’s with an electric cooler. The butcher previously delivered to residents by wagon and used selfless-cut ice blocks for refrigeration. We open when events are happening and plan to be open one afternoon a month this spring. We are a commission of three trustees and two alternate trustees who all participate in work days, demonstrations, research and events.
