Behind-the-Scenes at The Stowe Center

The 1871 Harriet Beecher Stowe House just completed a major restoration project to upgrade HVAC, fire suppression, and replace windows. New historic finishes and a re-interpretation round out the fresh Stowe Center experience. Take the all-new tour and participate in a talk-back with Stowe Center staff.

The Stowe Center preserves and interprets Stowe’s Hartford home and the center’s historic collections, promotes vibrant discussion of her life and work, and inspires commitment to social justice and positive change.
