Museum educators invest a significant amount of time and effort in developing
and facilitating high-quality learning experiences for our visitors. Ideally our
promotional and teaching materials should communicate this quality through their
design. How can we create functional and attractive signage, brochures,
worksheets, etc. with our limited time and resources?
In this collaborative workshop we will explore simple strategies for designing
materials with the resources we have at hand, consider when and how to involve
an outside designer in our projects, and discuss our individual design challenges.
Participants are encouraged to bring examples of design projects they want
feedback on as well as examples of designed materials they like and do not—
from their own institution or any other context.
This program is FREE but requires registration
