You probably know about Connecticut History Day, which annually engages over 4,000 middle- and high-school students in historical research and interpretation. With Connecticut's regional contests coming up this spring, join us for an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of judging and participating, both to you and to your organization.
We'll have with us Rebecca Taber, the head of Public Programs and Connecticut History Day at the Connecticut Democracy Center and Old State House; Jen Hunt, retired teacher from the West Hartford Public Schools who has worked extensively with History Day; and Dayne Rugh, Director of the Slater Memorial Museum in Norwich. Our guests will share their experiences and offer ideas on how to use History Day to not only bring young people to your site but also make your organization and collections more visible to the students, teachers, and families involved in this event.
