Newspaper Digitization Webinar Series - How Do You Digitize? Planning & Working with Vendors

The third session of our Newspaper Digitization Series will focus on the logistical side of a newspaper digitization project. We’ll look at important aspects to consider during project planning, provide tips for managing a project throughout its different stages, and discuss working with vendors. And to cover the tech side of things we’ll also go over the basics of OCR (optical character recognition) and our recommendations on both technical specifications for digitization and filenaming best practices. Lastly, CT Humanities will join us to discuss how their grant offerings can help fund newspaper digitization projects.
