Connecticut Collections: Current Users, System Updates, & Advanced Topics

Monday, October 30, 2023 | 1:30-3:30

Session II: Advanced Topics

Have you mastered Connecticut Collections 101? If so, this session is for you. Seth Kaufman from Whirl-i-Gig is here to demonstrate new system updates such as: tracking current locations, a new inventory field, an archival transcribe feature, and a public portal review of the new and improved search capabilities including advanced filtering options.

If you have any system questions about Connecticut Collections, this is the place to ask them! There will be  dedicated time to discuss any/ all questions or suggestions that you may have.

It is recommended that you bring a laptop to follow along with this live presentation.

This event is for current Connecticut Collections users only.

Driving and Parking Directions are below:

The meeting will be held at 75 Van Block Avenue in Hartford, CT 06106.  Please park at no charge in the gated lot to the left of the building.  If the gate is closed when you arrive, press the NEC intercom button to request access.  Enter the building at the ramped side entrance located near the front of the parking lot.  For directions, see: http://ctstatelibrary.org/about/hours-and-locations/van-block/

NOTE: Be aware that there are “Do Not Enter” signs posted on Van Block Avenue intended to restrict traffic during school dismissal hours.  However, thru traffic to the Van Block Facility is allowed at all times.  When there are no school buses lined up on Van Block Avenue, simply ignore the signs. When there are school buses present, one lane will remain open near the Sequassen Street intersection; stop as usual for any buses that have their stop signs extended and otherwise simply proceed with caution.  Buses are typically present only for a half-hour at mid-day or in the afternoon.
