Museum Audiences in Connecticut

Thursday, January 18, 2024 | 12:00 PM
Zoom

Last year, CT Humanities collaborated with several museums across Connecticut to participate in the Annual Survey of Museum-Goers, a national research project on museum audiences fielded by Wilkening Consulting and the American Alliance of Museums. Join Susie Wilkening of Wilkening Consulting on January 18 at 12:00 p.m. for a virtual session describing the findings of this survey and its impact in Connecticut. These results will equip you to attract more visitors, make the case for increased funding, and keep up with our rapidly evolving environment.

In this workshop, you'll be led through the results for Connecticut, learning more about:

· insight into Connecticut museum visitors, including who they are, their motivations, behaviors, and their values,

· visitation rates and shifts from pre-pandemic to 2023

· attitudes towards civics content (especially helpful as we approach America | 250)

· connections to humanity via museum content

· attitudes towards inclusive content

Registration is required and is free to attend. This program will be recorded.
