Connecticut League of Museums Awards of Merit

Celebrate the achievements of organizations and individuals across Connecticut at the League's annual Awards of Merit ceremony and reception!

This year we'll gather at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury for the awards presentation, followed by a catered reception. Museum galleries will be open for attendees to tour. Check out several new exhibitions, including:

  • Ruminations: Rauschenberg at 100 showcases a rare complete set of the artist’s most introspective series that examines important people who shaped his life and career.
  • The Universe of Gerald Saladyga invites viewers into a world of the artist's own making. Influenced by the flattened perspective of Byzantine mosaics, Saladyga—winner of the Matt's 2025 Mixmaster competition—draws on conventions of the past to explore a dystopian future.
  • Free to Be is an art exhibition presented in partnership with The Social Chase, Inc., a volunteer non-profit organization, providing an inclusive community of support for young adults on the spectrum.
  • Beau McCall: Buttons On! is presented in collaboration with the Fuller Craft Museum and marks the first-ever retrospective for creative artist Beau McCall. The exhibition demonstrates McCall’s creative practice of producing wearable and visual art by hand-sewing clothing buttons onto mostly upcycled fabrics, materials, and objects.

This promises to be a great night—we hope you'll join us!
