Training for Connecticut Collections users who are new, or want more information on the backend - or system administration - part of our CollectiveAccess platform. This customization has been set up the same for everyone so there is very little that you need to do as far as a traditional system administrator role, but there are a few things that will need attention from time to time. We recommend you designate one or two people at your institution to be in charge of that ‘admin level’ of the system at your institution. Some technical knowledge is good for folks who will be designated, but not necessary. These folks would typically be the ones who will created new users, help on-board new staff or volunteers to the system, and oversee more detailed tasks like custom displays or custom searches.
Topics will cover: New user creation; Access roles and customization; Dashboard; User Preferences; Custom Displays; Reports; User Groups; Location creation and management. We are planning an hour long session, but can stick around for longer if people are willing. If you have any questions about this session beforehand, please get in touch at ctco@clho.org
